Cold Turkey
If you read my previous post, you might remember that I had reached a point in my internet life where I was an addicted, compulsive buyer of internet marketing info products, stunned into confusion by information overload, dimly aware that my whole life would be in ruins if I did not do something about it. Perhaps you feel you might be on a similar path?
I would love to be able to say that with super-human strength of will I tore myself away from the computer and broke my “habit”. Well, I can say that, but it would be stretching the truth. The truth is that fate intervened and for a few weeks at the end of last year, I was too busy with other things to waste so much time reading emails from people who only wanted to sell me stuff. Being so busy with the rest of my life made it easier to take a complete computer break. Apart from quickly scanning my inbox once a day for personal messages, I stayed off the computer and the internet altogether. I went “cold turkey”!
Well, guess what? The world did not end just because I did not read every IM email in my inbox.
I chose five marketers whose integrity and straightforward communication had impressed me over the months that I had been reading their stuff. I unsubscribed from all the rest and immediately gained about two hours a day that were now not being wasted reading sales letters! My next step would be to find a mentor.
Great Blog sue. I’m addicted as well. I’ve fallen victim as well. John is gluing the pieced together for us pretty well though huh? I just posted a blog about entrepreneur predators similar to what you described so I can relate well with what you’re saying. Best of luck to you.

Hi Omar,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my post. It’s exciting to think someone has read it. I’d love to know how you found it.
Yes, John’s course is exactly right for me and I’m loving it.
I’m off to pay your blog a visit now that I’ve caught up with all that we had to do this week.
Cheers,
Sue
